Snowflake's Ice Forest Chapter 1: Abandoned in the Snow

Snowflake Hart was a beautiful white unicorn with icy blue hair.

Snowflake's friend, Tornado Bolt, was a unicorn that always there from the start.

Snowflake knocked on the big wooden door and waited. It was snowing outside, which meant ice. And ice meant beauty. And beauty was something that Snowflake was happy to use to create amazement. Which meant, Snowflake wanted Tornado to witness her making her first ice statue of the year.

Tornado Bolt opened the door.

"Hi, Tornado! Are you ready to come out yet?" Snowflake said cheerfully.

"Yes, just let me put on my coat. It's cold out there." Tornado said, putting a scarf and coat on.

"So what should we make this year?" Snowflake asked.

"Hmm, how about a huge snowflake? To celebrate winter?" Tornado suggested, walking onto the snow-covered front porch.

"That's a great idea!" Snowflake said, walking with Tornado over to the frozen lake.

Snowflake used her magic to make the ice rise off of the water into a huge platform.

Tornado used HER magic to mold it into a huge snowflake.

"It's beautiful, Tornado!" Snowflake said, hugging her friend.

"Thanks, Snowflake!" Tornado said, smiling.

Snowflake sat at the edge of the lake, dangling her hooves in the water.

Suddenly, the ice started to freeze again. And it wasn't stopping. It was rapidly zooming right towards her hooves.

"Uh, Tornado? What do I do?" Snowflake asked, looking up at her friend.

"Go deeper into the water. That's what you should do." Tornado said, growing concerned for her friend.

Snowflake wasn't so sure she liked the idea, but Tornado was so educated with ice and glaciers that Snowflake decided to do it anyways.

The ice came closer, turning the water to the cold stone.

"Are you sure this is supposed to happen?" Snowflake asked, growing worried.

"Yes, it is." Tornado said.

Snowflake's hooves were soon trapped within the ice.

"I'm trapped, Tornado!" Snowflake said, scowling.

"Eh... Just go under the water, then." Tornado suggested.

Snowflake didn't trust Tornado anymore, but she did it anyway, because she at least needed to get out of the ice. The water was the only way to go at the moment.

The ice closed from up above Snowflake, trapping her in the water. Sooner or later, Snowflake would drown, and all hope would be lost.

Snowflake could feel herself losing her breath, her chest pumping. It came at last, the end of Snowflake. Or so she thought.

Pain rushed through Snowflake as her breath finally broke, making everything around her go black, and fade away...

And that's the chapter! Hope you liked the suspense at the end! So let me do a little trailer thingy here.

Will Snowflake die? Will she find her way out of the lake? Find out in the next chapter, which I'll be in the process of writing right after this!
